„SCREENSAVER“ appears as a dance practice, but in-fact it is a TV Pop show or just absurd Video advertising of the dance archive one carries from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Archive that speculatively opens space for other temporalities that have dealt differently with dance, to co-exist simultaneously within the perception of dance and choreography nowadays. A space where the dance that has been danced thousand times, or the memory of that dance that have been seen so many times and we all carry it, can be finally experienced; a space for a dance of future nostalgia, a space for a dance of satisfaction, and kinetic pleasure. The approach opens a space for satisfaction in experiencing dance and choreography as a cinematographic memory in our own bodies.
The performance „SCREENSAVER“ is developed as part of the “Contemporary Choreography and Dance” programme of Lokomotiva – Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture.
After the artistic stay in Brussels, Stockholm and Skopje, the international dance team with episodically structured choreographic series, part of the “CO-series” research, shows off their premiere at the 45th edition of MOT theatre festival.
