The CreArt network is ready to celebrate the 7th edition of the European Day of Artistic Creativity that will take place around March 21, 2019. The proposals that will be presented are quite different, ranging from the opening of exhibitions in public museums and private galleries, as well as the implementation of workshops in galleries, public spaces, museums and schools, to the organization of school contents, guided tours, or talks with artists in Arts Schools. SAELIA APARICIO (VALLADOLID), AND LUCA ARBOCCÒ (GENOA), SELECTED FOR THE NEXT ARTIST IN RESIDENCE CreArt IN LIVERPOOL (UNITED KINGDOM)
The city of Liverpool in the United Kingdom and the Bluecoat art center have selected the artist from Valladolid Saelia Aparicio and the Genoese Luca Arboccò to develop their projects at the CreArt Residence in Bluecoat during the month of March. The City Council of Liverpool, member of CreArt, will be responsible for organizing the trips and the stay of the artists, who will also have a grant for production expenses.
GENOA SELECTS 15 CURATORS FROM THENETWORK FOR THE SEMINAR “BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE. GOOD PRACTICES IN CURATORSHIP“
The city of Genoa has selected the 15 participants of the seminar “Between the public and the private. Good curating practices”, coordinated by the curator and art teacher of the Ligurian Academy of Fine Arts, Alessandra Gagliano Candela. The seminar that will take place at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, between March 21 and 23, will reflect on the relationship between museums and contemporary art, curating initiatives, linking the public and the private, the role played by the foundations, fairs and galleries.
CreArt OPENS A NEW CALL FOR ARTISTS RESIDENCE IN THE CENTER ATELIERHAUS SALZAMT IN LINZ DURING MAY 2019.
CreArt has opened a new call to select 2 artists born or residents in some cities of the network, who will have the opportunity to work on their artistic projects, during the month of May. CreArt will cover artists trip expenses from their CreArt city to Linz. The studio and the accommodation are free. In addition, the artists will receive a grant to cover subsistence and production costs. The requirements and online application form to participate in this AiR program is available on the CreArt website and must be submitted before March 25.
THE CITY OF SKOPJE IN MACEDONIA INVITES TWO ARTISTS FROM THE NETWORK TO A ONE MONTH CreArt RESIDENCE
The city of Skopje (Macedonia) opens a new CreArt OpenCall of Artist in Residence Program for two artists, one local artist from Skopje and one from any of the cities in the network, at the Cultural Informative Center (Kic) between May 20 and June 20. The organization will cover travel and accommodation expenses and will receive a grant for production expenses. The online application is available until April 20 in the Open Calls section of the CreArt website.
